Acton is situated within the London Borough of Ealing. It is well placed for transport links as it has tube stations in all directions. North Acton, East Acton, South Acton and Acton Town, all served by a combination of the Central Line and Piccadilly Line.
There is a wide and diverse range of schools in the area. A Japanese school has meant an attraction of a Japanese community in West Acton. There is also the King Fahad Academy which is an independent Muslim school. Plus, the Twyford Church of England School which was rated by Ofted as outstanding.
Interestingly, the very first ‘Waitrose’ Store opened in 1904 on the High Street by Wallace Wyndham Waite, Arthur Rose and David Taylor.
